No gun neededThe first dollar of your career. No gun, no level, no crew: hack an ATM, it spits out its bundles, you're gone.
The plan#
- Pick a machineAny ATM in town, indoor ones included. On foot: press [E] in front of it, then Hack the ATM in the menu, and click again to confirm.
- The hackA cursor slides back and forth along a bar: stop it in the green zone, 3 times in a row. Each round the zone gets smaller and the cursor gets faster. You get 8 s per round.
- The alarm goes offHack done: ★, right away. Everyone within 60 m hears the alarm and sees the bills flying.
- Grab the cashThe machine spits 5 bundles over 20 s, one at a steady pace. Each one goes straight into your pockets. Hit [Back] or step away and you leave with whatever's already out.
- Lose the copsShake them before you relax. It's cash: get shot and it drops on the ground.
Pass or fail#
Pass$2,000 – $5,000
- The alarm rings, the bundles come out.
- Stay to the end to grab it all, or leave early with part of it.
Fail★
- Too many mistakes: the bank locks the machine remotely.
- You still get your stars, and you walk away empty-handed.
No witness to shut up here: the bank makes the call, not a passer-by. The stars land no matter what.
The risks#
While the bills are coming out, other players see the ATM flashing on their map, with your name, and get a Scanner alert. 20 s standing next to a screaming machine is a long time. The smart ones wait until you've grabbed it all, then come and take it off you.
Every successful hack also adds to your bounty. A machine someone else is already hacking is off limits, same as one that was just emptied.
Park two steps away, door open. When the last bundle drops, you're already behind the wheel.
The minigame forgives , and letting a round time out . Feel it going wrong? . Once emptied or locked, a machine : no point coming back to the same corner.
