Cash and bank

Two pockets. Cash is what crime puts in your hands, and what you lose when you die. The bank is what's left when everything goes sideways.

Two accounts#

Cash drops out of every job: robberies, sales, bags you pick up. It's on you, so it's up for grabs. You die, it lands in a bag on your body, and whoever gets there first helps himself (see Death and respawn).

Loot that isn't cash turns into cash elsewhere: stolen goods at the burglary fence, at the Fence Exchange price, dope moved by your network, cars stripped at the chop shop.

The bank never moves. Not when you die, not when you log off. The catch: putting your cash in costs a fee.

Depositing#

At the counter of one of the 8 banks: Fleeca Pillbox Hill, Fleeca Alta, Fleeca Burton, Fleeca Rockford Hills, Fleeca Great Ocean Hwy, Fleeca Route 68, Blaine County Savings and Pacific Standard. Any amount you like or a preset one, the bank keeps 10%.

Wanted, and the teller won't touch your cash. Lose the cops first. And a fat stack dropped in one go makes the teller hit the button: cops on the way, ★★.

Too conspicuous? There's the launderer: pricier, but never any cops.

Withdrawing#

Free, at the counter or at any ATM in town. Even while wanted.

Transfers#

From the Bank app on your phone, to another player's number, bank to bank. Between $100 and $1,000,000, and you pay the 2% fee on top. Cash never goes through there.

What pays for what#

A 10% fee always beats 100% of your cash on a sidewalk.
