The display#

Talk to the salesman: the car shows up on the display and the camera circles it.

  • Switch models: left and right arrows, or the mouse wheel over the strip of models.
  • Switch categories: up and down arrows. Makes filter with one click.
  • Search: covers the showroom's whole catalog.
  • Look around: right-click to orbit, mouse wheel over the car to zoom, C for the next shot.

Each card shows the seats, top speed and four bars (speed, acceleration, braking, handling), compared to machines of the same kind: a car against the best car, a plane against the best plane. It also tells you if you already have one in the garage, and what the salesman will give you back for it.

Buying#

  1. Pick a colorBody and secondary (or the same), applied right away on the preview.
  2. Test drive it60 s behind the wheel, ESSAI plate, inside a zone shown on the map. Get out, leave the zone or let the timer run out and it's over: the salesman takes the car back. You can test drive a model even without the level to buy it.
  3. SignBank first, then cash for the rest. Your call: delivered out front, or straight to your garage.
  4. The bill of saleA short cutscene: the camera circles your car, the registration card drops with the plate and where the car is waiting. Hold Space to skip.

Each ride needs a reputation level based on its price. No level, no deal.

Exit blocked? The car gets stored in one of your garages. Garages full? The sale still goes through: the car is delivered out front, with no space, and you'll take it out of any public lot.

The salesman won't deal with anyone who has cops on their tail. No test drive, no purchase, no trade-in while you have stars.

Selling#

Pull up behind the wheel of your car on a dealership's delivery spot, [E]. The salesman writes you a trade-in slip: 50% of the value, paid to your bank. Sell (two-click confirm) or keep it.

  • Parts fitted at LS Customs aren't bought back: the slip is based on the car's value, modded or not.
  • He only takes your own cars: no stolen ones, no buddy's ride, even with his key.
  • The trunk has to be empty.
